Horrible Cable Service
There are so many problems with Brighthouse. Their HD DVR Box never works. I am on my third box. When you call customer service they don't seem to care and aren't willing to give you a refund. I can't wait to we get a competitor in the area.Posted on August - 13 - 2008 by msokoloff
Bright House could learn a thing or two from TiVo
Hands down, TiVo is a far superior not only in service, but also functionality and dependability. My first box only lasted 18 months, but I was able to trade it in for $150 and get a refurbished box, which I've now been using for four years. [And they transferred my lifetime subscription, so I've never paid monthly for service.] Unfortunately TiVo has an unfriendly consumer business model and in this economy, upgrading to their HD box isn't cost -ffective, so I opted to get the Bright House HD DVR out of convenience. Within six months or so, I had to replace my box because after weeks of locking up like a Windows OS, it stopped recording, and I was missing shows like the SEASON FINALES of 'Lost' and 'Grey's Anatomy.' After getting my new box, I started experiencing problems within weeks, and just this week not a single show recorded one day (Olympics!), and I had to reboot it to get it working again. People opt for Bright House for one reason -- convenience -- and one day when they don't have a monopoly on the cable business, they'll experience what consumers think about their not-so-bright house.Posted on August - 15 - 2008 by g8rgal
